Artifact Consultation

Hartgen offers services to process and catalog archeological collections and to conserve and illustrate artifacts. Our artifact processing services entail cleaning, sorting, identifying, labeling, bagging, and packaging all artifacts, as well as creating an inventory in Microsoft Access.

The goal of conservation services is to stabilize corroded and decayed objects so that the items may be cataloged, exhibited, and stored with a diminished rate of decay. The method of conservation is documented in a conservation report illustrated with “before” and “after” scaled photographs. These services are offered to cultural resource management (CRM) firms, museums, and private individuals.
