| Then and Now: Archeology at Fort Stanwix |
| Archeology Home |
Combined Maps Combined maps use historic maps such as Sanborn Maps and put them with excavation maps. These maps can be hard to read, but show the archeologists where they worked in comparison with what was there in the past. The historic map in the background is black. The survey trenches are grey, the expanded study areas are red, and the documentation excavations are marked with heavy black lines. This map also has the footprint of the new building in green. The whole footprint is a large file and may take some time to open. |
